"Wellbrook Winery's Fruit Wines and Heritage Theme Wineshop"

For those who enjoy a special experience along with their wine explorations, Wellbrook Winery near the Tsawassen ferry terminal has some great treats in store. The heritage building which houses the charming wine shop with its country store style gift and food ideas allows guests to step back in time. Antiques and artifacts decorate rustic walls and rafters capturing the essence of times gone by.

This newly opened winery is owned by the Bremner family which has farmed in the delta area for 25 years and who now have three farms totalling over 140 acres. Before the Bremners, the Huff family farmed the land for over 100 years and there is evidence of this in the antique farm machinery which can be seen outside of the wine shop.

Inside are very well made fruit wines including Blueberry, Cranberry, White Cranberry/Apple, Peach/Apricot, Strawberry and Iced Apple. The fruit that made the wines, as well as the selection of jams and other special foods, came from the 75 acres of blueberries, 5 acres of cranberries and other fruit and produce grown on the farm.

When we visited this summer it was hard to peel our eyes off the beautiful displays and the heritage artifacts that fill the wine shop. When we did, and tasted the wines, it was an even more impressive experience.

- Wellbrook Cranapple Wine - Delicate heavenly spicy bouquet with Riesling notes. Rich, delicious white current and spicy apple flavour profile. Clean and well balanced and very classy.

This wine which is a combination of white cranberries and apples which is very much a table wine, able to be enjoyed in the glass or paired with a range of foods including cheeses, pastas and fruit.

Wellbrook Winery is located at 4626 - 88th Street in Delta, just off Highway 10 and within easy sight of Highway 99 south.
