MUCH MORE THAN QUALITY WINES AWAIT VISITORS AT
HISTORIC WELLBROOK WINERY
Delta, BC -- Visitors to Wellbrook Winery, which officially opened
today, can expect more than the requisite wine tasting from Greater
Vancouver’s newest winery.
Step across the threshold of the lovingly restored Old Grainery Store
and transport yourself back in time. Antique furnishings, heritage beams
and reclaimed barn wood feature prominently in this historical trip.
Outside, several antique tractors and other farm equipment can be found
scattered about the 55-acre 100-year-old farm.
This unique winery celebrates the farming heritage of the area. The
delicious wines are crafted on site by owner Terry Bremner and feature
premium fruit from the Bremner family blueberry farm just 3 miles away,
as well as cranberries from his Fort Langley operation. Initial wine
offerings from Wellbrook include blueberry, cranberry, white cran-apple,
peach-apricot and strawberry table wines, as well as iced apple and
three varieties of fortified dessert wine: blueberry, cranberry and
peach-apricot.
Bremner plans to expand his offerings to include grape wines, planting
vineyards on the 55-acre site in the next couple of years.
His vision is to make Wellbrook a destination winery, something the
entire family can enjoy. A demonstration cranberry farm, farm animals,
pumpkin patch, hay rides and an antique shop are yet to be realized.
Wellbrook Winery is located in Delta, BC only 30 minutes south of Vancouver
or 10 minutes from Tsawwassen ferry terminal. It is open every day from
11 am to 6 pm. For more details please call 604-946-1868.
