Holiday Events: Wellbrook Winery’s Homestead Christmas

Bring the entire family to Wellbrook Winery for a magical scene of light and music. 35,000 Christmas lights adorn the heritage winery and surrounding buildings. Enter the century old barn and see the animated Christmas music and light show.  Enjoy complimentary hot chocolate during evening visits.

Seasonal Recipes

Mulled Wine or Juice

Delicious on a cold winter night!

Ingredients:
Wellbrook Blueberry, BlueCran or Cranberry Wine OR
Bremner’s Blueberry, BlueCran or BluPom Juice
Commercial Mulling Spice mix (available at Wellbrook Winery)

Follow directions on Mulling Spice mix; serve warm, with furry slippers and someone to cuddle up with in front of the fireplace.

Cranberry Sauce

3 cups Fresh Cranberries
1-1/2 cups Sugar
1 cup Bremner’s Pure Cranberry Juice
½ cup Orange juice
1 cinnamon stick

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil while stirring.  Cook over medium heat until the berries have popped. Cool and serve. Will keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

• Steamed Whole Dungeness Crab, Black Bean, Garlic White Wine Sauce

~ Friday, February 8, 2008: Chef “Chop Chop” presents "Classic French Cuisine".

Chef Stephane Landreau (aka, Chef "Chop Chop"), is a classically trained French Chef, who apprenticed with Paul Bocuse, Gaston Lenotre and Roger Verge. He has worked at Walt Disney Resorts and recently came to Canada. Chef Stephane believes cooking should be fun and he has a passion for teaching.

~ Monday, February 18, 2008: Chef Dennis Green

Chef Dennis Green, Executive Chef of Bishop’s Restaurant from 1997 to Sept. 2007 and co-author with John Bishop of "Simply Bishop's" and "Fresh" cookbooks.  Dennis is a passionate supporter of regional food and agriculture.  Dennis loves teaching and passing on his extensive culinary knowledge and fabulous recipes.  Menu TBA. Includes Wellbrook Wines with each course.

Open every day from 11 am to 6 pm, except for Dec. 24th and Dec. 31st when the winery will close at 5 pm.
Closed Dec. 25th and Jan. 1st
